House of Asaturyan

Ասատուրյան

Heritage leather, carried forward.

An Armenian house of leather goods. Every piece carries the Ա, pressed blind into the leather.

Aramazd Արամազդ

Aramazd was the father of the Armenian gods, the creator and the giver of plenty.

On the front, only the letter: pressed in at 15 mm. No foil, no metal. The Ա is the leather itself.

It opens flat

Three card slots on one side, a full-length pocket on the other. The edges are painted and burnished by hand, so they darken with the rest of it.

The name goes inside

The house name is stamped in the lining, where only the owner sees it. With a commission, what’s inside can be theirs too.

The first pieces

Each carries the name of an Armenian god, and the Ա at the size the piece can hold.

Purse

Astghik Աստղիկ

The house's main purse. Soft in the hand, structured enough to stand on its own, with the Ա on the flap.

Astghik was the goddess of love, beauty and water. Her summer festival, Vardavar, still fills Armenian streets with water every July.

  • Ա debossed at 20 mm on the flap
  • Detachable strap
  • Leather lining inside, nothing printed

Cardholder

Tir Տիր

A slim cardholder for the few cards that matter. The smallest piece in the house, and the easiest way to begin.

Tir was the scribe of the gods, keeper of writing, learning and the meaning of dreams.

  • Ա debossed at 12 mm
  • Two outer slots and a centre pocket
  • Slim enough for a front pocket

The Living Legacy

Bring the story of the person it’s for. We turn it into a design you approve, and make it by hand. Any piece in the house can be commissioned this way.

Making it as a gift?

You tell the story, not them. Nothing we send, to you or anyone else, will give the surprise away.

  1. You

    Tell the story

A short set of questions about values, people and moments. Skip any of them, paste your own summary, or talk it through with us instead.

  2. You approve

    Read your Legacy Brief

We write down what we understood, in plain words. You edit it until it's right, then approve it. Nothing is designed before that yes.

  3. The atelier

    See three directions

Three design concepts, each with its meaning explained. Drafts may begin with AI; a person reviews every one for craft and culture before you see it.

  4. You approve

    Choose and refine

Pick one, ask for up to two revisions, then give the final yes. Only approved artwork goes to the workshop.

  5. The workshop

    Made by hand

Your design is cut and pressed into the leather in the workshop. We send a photo from the bench while it's being made.

  6. Yours to keep

    Delivered with its certificate

Each piece comes with a certificate and a page that proves it's genuine. That page never shows your story.

What happens to your story

  • It’s used to design your piece, and nothing else.
  • It’s stored apart from your name, address and order, and never goes into analytics.
  • You choose what to share. Every question can be skipped.
  • You can read, change or delete it whenever you like.
The Ա mark, debossed in leather

The letter carries its own missing part

Our mark is Ա, the first letter of the Armenian alphabet, drawn from the manuscript hand of the fifth century.

Look at the foot. It’s the piece cut from the window in the right column, turned and set at the base. Put it back and the column is whole again, the way an heirloom carries something of each owner.

It’s pressed blind into the leather, never applied in metal. On small pieces the letter stands alone, and the house name goes inside.

Ask about a piece or a commission

A person answers every message, in Armenian or English. Tell us which piece you’re thinking of, who it’s for, and when you need it.
